BG2G STATEMENT OF FAITH
The following represents the religious mandates acknowledged and upheld by all BG2G members, grounded in the Holy Scriptures.
I. The Great Commandment We believe in loving the Lord our God with all our heart, all our soul, and all our mind — above all else and in all things. "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." — Matthew 22:37
II. The Great Commission We believe in the mandate to teach and baptize all nations in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." — Matthew 28:19
III. Love One Another We believe in loving our brothers and sisters in the faith as Christ loved His disciples — sacrificially, unconditionally, and without distinction. "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." — John 13:34
IV. Communal Discipleship We believe that voluntary communal living and mutual care are authentic expressions of Christian discipleship, reflecting the unity and generosity of the early church. (Matthew 10:11–16, 10:40–42; Acts 2:42–47; Acts 4:32–35; James 2:14–18; 1 John 3:16–18)
V. Holy and Consecrated Living We believe it is the reasonable service of every believer to present their life as a living sacrifice — holy and acceptable to God. "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." — Romans 12:1
VI. Personal Autonomy in Faith We believe in the personal autonomy of every believer in how they worship and serve God. Each member works out their own salvation with reverence and accountability before God alone. "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." — Philippians 2:12 (Genesis 2:16–17; Romans 14:8–12; Hebrews 10:23–39)
VII. The Authority of Scripture We believe all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for doctrine, correction, and instruction in righteousness. Every member is called to study the Word diligently, rightly dividing truth. "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." — 2 Timothy 2:15 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." — 2 Timothy 3:16
VIII. The Foundational Doctrines of Christ We affirm the six foundational doctrines of the Christian faith as outlined in Hebrews 6:1–2:

VIII. The Foundational Doctrines of Christ We affirm the six foundational doctrines of the Christian faith as outlined in Hebrews 6:1–2:
- Repentance from dead works
- Faith toward God
- The doctrine of baptisms
- The laying on of hands
- The resurrection of the dead
- Eternal judgment
"Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection."
